Agenda

Date: September 18
Time: 16:00 - 17:00 (CET)

Summary

Bus batteries account for up to 50% of the overall vehicle investment costs. Although a price decrease in the upcoming years is predicted, the anticipated order of magnitude for commercial vehicles hardly exceeds 20%. Moreover, batteries are the only wearing part of the vehicle and their state will determine the final residual value of the bus. How can we keep our batteries healthy and what is important to know about your battery data?

16:00  --  Introduction

16:05  --  Fraunhofer IVI

Learn how battery degradation can impact your operations & the residual value. Fraunhofer IVI, Institute for Transportation and Infrastructure Systems, shall give vehicle operators, owners and/or financing institutions a basic understanding of the degradation of this very important component and why the determination and analysis of the actual state is a non-trivial task, that shouldn’t be left to the manufacturer alone. We will discuss effects on operations, basics on warranty and liability, and how a manufacturer-independent state assessment might influence residual value and post-operation applications.

16:25  --  ViriCiti

Find out how operational data and smart charging can help you improve the battery life of your electric buses (BEBs). In addition, you will also learn how & what to monitor to make sure the battery warranty conditions are being fulfilled. ViriCiti, the leading telematics provider for electric buses in EU and US, will discuss some of the best industry practices as well as the latest software solutions. This will allow you to avoid SOC/range limitations while keeping your TCO down.

16:45  --  Questions
